<\/p>\nTrapholt presents a steady succession of exhibitions on art, design and crafts and also boasts its own collections, including a large collection of Danish furniture design.<\/p>\n
Inaugurated in 1988, the museum is located in a scenic area overlooking the Kolding Fjord. It is set within a large sculpture park featuring works by contemporary Danish artists.<\/p>\n
The museum\u2019s architecture is an attraction in itself. Arranged around a central museum street, the exhibition rooms offer many fascinating spaces to explore. Outside, a powerfully sculptural wall separates the museum from the park.<\/p>\n

Arne Jacobsen\u2019s modular house, Kubeflex, allows all those with interest in design and architecture to explore an immersive environment designed entirely by Jacobsen. Created by the internationally renowned Danish architect and designer in 1969\u201370, the house is the only one of its kind. Previously used as a summerhouse by the Jacobsen family, the house is now on display at Trapholt, furnished with Arne Jacobsen\u2019s own designs. We offer daily guided tours of the house.<\/p>\n
A special room dedicated to Richard Mortensen\u2019s paintings was created in close collaboration with the artist himself \u2013 one of the most important Danish artists of the twentieth century.<\/p>\n

Visit the Trapholt caf\u00e9 to enjoy spectacular views of Kolding Fjord, a delicious meal \u2013 or just a cup of coffee. The Trapholt design shop carries a wide range of specially selected interior design objects from well-known Danish and international brands. Everything has been \u00a0handpicked for its distinctive aesthetics and quality, offering unique choice. Free parking for cars and buses is available right by the door. Accessibility, including wheelchair access, is a major focus for Trapholt.<\/p>\n
