Her artistic career has propelled her to the forefront of the international art scene. Through her pieces, she disrupts traditional portrayals of women, presenting them in powerful, active roles that challenge the historical perception of the female artist as quiet and subdued.<\/p>\n<p>Trained as both an architect and a visual artist, Kj\u00e6rgaard merges these disciplines in this total installation, where architectural elements guide visitors through the exhibition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Painterly Sensations<\/strong><br \/>\nThe exhibition is part of Trapholt\u2019s four-year research project <em>Painterly Sensations<\/em>, which explores the potential of painting in the 21st century. This initiative aligns with Trapholt\u2019s focus on sensory and affective art experiences, previously explored in exhibitions such as <em>Sense Me<\/em> and solo shows by Mie M\u00f8rkeberg, Erik A. Frandsen, and Malene Landgreen. The museum continues its exploration of how art can enhance our ability to sense, reflect, and understand the world around us.<\/p>\n<p><em>The exhibition is supported by the Arne V.
