THE MONUMENT OF STICHES
In 2015, Isabel Berglund created the work Maskernes Monument (The Monument of Stiches) with 700 knitting citizens from Billund, Fredericia, Kolding, Middelfart, Vejen og Vejle – the six municipalities that make up the Trekantområdet (The Triangle Region). The work was created during workshops that took place across the six cities in which citizens, as in a relay race, knitted for each other from town to town.
THE MONUMENT OF STICHES was presented in the six participating cities during Trekantområdets festuge (Festival Week) in August 2015 and afterwards exhibited at Trapholt.
