TIME 8098:30
Time is a peculiar thing. It can fly by, drag on endlessly, or slip away like sand through fingers.
In the new collaborative project TIME 8098:30 with artist Kristine Mandsberg, time is explored as a concept. Through embroidery, the project’s participants visualize their chosen words about time on (old) white bedsheets.

The Artist
Kristine Mandsberg is a textile designer who graduated from the Design School Kolding, Textile, in 2006. She also attended The Royal College of Art in London in 2008.
Mandsberg works with spatial textile installations in both commercial and museum contexts. She takes an experimental approach to working with shapes, colors, materials, surfaces, and ornamentation. From her studio in Nørrebro, Copenhagen, she explores various scales, materials, and contexts. She is particularly interested in creating interactive spaces where users can physically engage with her work. Whether integrated into the room’s function, incorporating playful elements, or serving as narrative focal points to be physically explored, her installations invite participation.
The project’s activities in the Region of Southern Denmark are supported by the region’s themed cultural grant program, Culture in Rural Areas and Small Towns.
